The Shamrock is a five-bedroom Leadville home sleeping up to 10 guests across three finished levels — built for groups who want more than just bedrooms. The renovated basement game room with foosball and ping pong tables, plus a separate extra hangout corner corner, is the after-ski destination. Upstairs holds four bedrooms and two full bathrooms; the main level adds a fifth bedroom, a half bath, the kitchen, dining area, sun room, and living room with gas fireplace. The basement adds a 3/4 bathroom. The fully stocked kitchen handles cooking for ten — gas range, dishwasher, full-size refrigerator, gas grill outside on the south-facing deck. Bed configuration is three queens and two doubles, comfortable for couples or two friends per room. Wi-Fi, cable, and smart TVs throughout. Practical details groups care about: a 2-car garage plus driveway parking (rare for Leadville's tight winter streets), east and west mountain views, and a 1-mile drive or bike to downtown Harrison Avenue's restaurants and breweries. Ski Cooper is approximately 15 minutes by car, Copper Mountain about 35, Vail/Beaver Creek about 45. Managed end-to-end by Traverse Hospitality — Lake County licensed, Superhost-rated.

Natasha was very quick to respond with any questions we had. Her place was beautifully cleaned throughout and felt very at home with all of the fun games and extra blankets to make you feel snuggly. We will definitely be booking Natasha’s place again in the future

2 families with children between 11-18 stayed here. We enjoyed the property and all 10 of us stayed comfortably! The host was very helpful as I had never booked a vrbo.

Very comfortable stay for 6 adults. We appreciated the well-stocked kitchen, lots of available seating, and renovated basement game room. The home is conveniently close to a grocery store and only 15 minutes from Ski Cooper, so it's good for a group ski vacation.

My family and I travel to Leadville every year for a reunion ski trip. This was our first tie booking Natasha's house, and I would do it again in a heartbeat. The house was perfect for our big family get-together. Not only was it spacious, clean, and comfortable for a big group, it was well-stocked with kitchen gear and linens. I always found what I needed. And we all loved that the house had little touches that represented the family, like a few family photos and mementos, and beautiful art on the walls. Ski Cooper was a short drive away, Safeway was around the corner, and while we could have walked into downtown Leadville, we chose to drive the short distance. I would definitely recommend this house, and it's at the top of my list of places to book again in Leadville.

Leadville, Colorado, United States
The Shamrock sits on Ridge View Drive, a quiet residential street about one mile west of downtown Leadville's National Historic Landmark District. The location balances neighborhood quiet with quick access: Harrison Avenue's restaurants and breweries are a five-minute drive or twenty-minute walk; City Market grocery is also one mile away (groups stock the kitchen on the drive in). The Mineral Belt Trail (11.6 miles, paved, open year-round for skiing, biking, and running) has a trailhead a half-mile from the door. Leadville is the highest incorporated city in North America at 10,200 feet, surrounded by the Sawatch Range — including Mount Elbert and Mount Massive, Colorado's two tallest 14ers. Ski Cooper, the locals' favorite mountain (no lift lines, family-friendly terrain), is about 15 minutes by car. Copper Mountain is approximately 35 minutes, and the Vail/Beaver Creek complex is about 45 minutes. In summer, Twin Lakes (25 min) opens up fishing, boating, and the trailhead for Mount Elbert; Independence Pass to Aspen opens late spring through early fall. Within a 1.5-mile radius of the home: the Tabor Opera House (1879), the National Mining Hall of Fame & Museum, and Healy House Museum.

ALTITUDE — Leadville sits at 10,200 ft, the highest incorporated city in North America. Some guests experience altitude symptoms (headache, fatigue, mild nausea) the first 24 hours. Hydrate aggressively, take it easy on day one, skip alcohol the first night, and consider travel insurance if you're prone to altitude sickness — we cannot offer refunds for altitude-related issues.
NO A/C — Leadville stays cool year-round at 10,200 ft; A/C is not standard in any home here and is rarely needed. Summer nights drop to the 40s.
NO HOT TUB — This home does not have a hot tub. If a hot tub is essential, ask us about other Traverse properties.
NO PETS — This is not a pet-friendly home.
PARKING — 2-car garage + driveway fits up to 4 vehicles total off-street. Garage is included in the rental — store skis, bikes, roof boxes, and cars.
WILDLIFE — You may encounter local wildlife (foxes, deer) and the occasional small critter that's part of mountain living on the wooded edge of town. Doors stay closed; we maintain ongoing pest control.
GUIDEBOOK — A digital guidebook with check-in info, restaurant recs, trail maps, and ski-day logistics is sent via email link the day before arrival. This is the only path to your check-in info, so please look for it.
