We had a beautiful 3 days in Crested Butte, and loved the location and the views from the condo. This was a relaxing, easy, and peaceful place to stay. We rented bikes up the street, hiked nearby, enjoyed the wonderful restaurants, and enjoyed relaxing at the condo.

Great location in Mt Crested Butte. The condo was a spacious size and had a large, functional kitchen. The unit was a little outdated, though. No ceiling fans (though we did find a box fan in the closet), and no charging ports for phones. Luckily I had a wall cube with me. First world problem, I know, but I don't know the last time I stayed in a hotel or AirBnB that didn't have them. Also, it would have been nice if the on-site bar and grill had been open when we were there. Overall, though, the complaints are minor. We thought the price was good for the accommodations and we would definitely consider visiting again.

The condo was great! Here are some specific observations: 1) clean & tastefully decorated 2) great view 3) tap house great addition in building 4) sad sauna room was down for repair 5) host communicated very well 6) linens were super clean 7) nice to have covered parking. Would definitely recommend. And can’t wait to return to CB. Great town!

Erin was a great host - quick to respond to inquiries. The Plaza is a nice facility; centrally located close to Base Area shops, restaurants and the public bus to town. A bar/restaurant is in the building. The views are spectacular from the unit's balcony, though as the pictures accurately depict, the tennis/pickle ball courts are right there (sound was not a problem, just took a little away from the visuals). Not a show-stopper. A small brook directly below the unit provided relaxing sounds throughout the day/night. The unit itself (including beds) was very comfortable, though showing a little wear. The kitchen could have been appointed a little nicer - I think there was only 4-5 dinner forks (lots of small salad forks) and we had to approach the front desk for dish towels/oven mitts. Don't expect any spices other than some salt and pepper (it's always hit-or-miss in this regard for rentals like this). Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend.

We had a great stay at Erin’s place! The pros: - Location: walkable to destinations in Mountain Village, covered car and bike parking onsite, easy check in and check-out, regional bus stop at your front door - Unit amenities: beautiful view from the patio (we are most of our meals here), plenty of cookware, fans to regulate inside temp, and lots of storage - Building amenities: outdoor grill, tennis and pickleball courts, staffed office downstairs if you need anything The cons: - BYO spices and food storage if needed; not much in the unit - The indoor hot tub was out for maintenance; not a big deal to us, but may be for others - King bed mattress was not great- slants toward the middle of the bed

Crested Butte, Colorado, United States
The Plaza 232 is located in Mt. Crested Butte at the base of Crested Butte Mountain Resort, a 3-minute walk to the Silver Queen and Red Lady chairlifts. Crested Butte is a historic mining-turned-ski town in Gunnison County, Colorado, known for expert-terrain skiing, a preserved Victorian main street, and a designation as Colorado's official Wildflower Capital. The immediate neighborhood around The Plaza is the resort base village. Within a 5-minute walk: Mountaineer Square (restaurants, coffee shops, ski rentals, ticket offices), Camp 4 Coffee, Django's, Butcherknife Brewing, and the Uley's Cabin / Paradise Warming House sled-up lunch venues. Gear demo and rental: Alpineer and Crested Butte Sports. There is a restaurant/bar inside the Plaza building itself, open during peak season. Historic downtown Crested Butte is 3 miles down-valley at the base of the Elk Avenue corridor. Highlights: Secret Stash pizza, Sunflower (organic farm-to-table), Soupçon (French-American), The Last Steep, Kochevar's Saloon (established 1896), and the Crested Butte Mountain Heritage Museum. The Mountain Express shuttle runs between the village and downtown free of charge every 15 minutes in winter. Summer activities: chairlift-accessed mountain biking on Evolution Bike Park, the 401 Trail (world-class singletrack), Kebler Pass aspens (the largest aspen grove in North America, peak color mid-September), Oh-Be-Joyful waterfalls hike, and Snodgrass Mountain trailhead (15-min drive). Winter: the resort has 1,547 skiable acres with expert terrain on the North Face and family-friendly runs from the Red Lady and Painter Boy lifts. Airports: Gunnison-Crested Butte Regional Airport (GUC) is a 35-minute drive with seasonal direct flights from Denver, Houston, and Dallas. Denver International (DEN) is a 4.5-hour drive with shuttle options (Alpine Express, Dolly's).

HONEST DISCLOSURES — so there are no surprises:
3 PROS worth knowing:
- The walk to the lifts really is 3 minutes — we've timed it in ski boots.
- 2 covered parking spaces per reservation — a real winter benefit in Mt. CB.
2 CONS worth knowing:
- No A/C — summer highs are mid-70s so it's rarely an issue, but south-facing rooms can warm up midday. Open windows handle it.
OTHER:
- Elevation ~9,400 ft — hydrate aggressively day one, go easy on alcohol that first night.
- Wood-burning fireplace — seasonal firewood provided.
- Kitchen is stocked with the basics (salt, pepper, coffee) — bring your own pantry staples if cooking most meals.
- Quiet hours 10pm–8am (HOA).
- No smoking, no pets, no parties.
