The Hilltop Suite is a modern 2-bedroom condo perched on Leadville's hilltop with framed views of Mt Massive and Mt Elbert — Colorado's two tallest peaks. Four blocks to Main Street, fenced yard for the dog, EV charger out front, and a stand-up desk for the morning emails before you head to the trailhead. Listed with @BookTraverse. Great lowkey unit and awesome location. Walkable to town and mineral belt trail. Amazing views of the mountains. Great place for a quick wknd trip to Leadville 😊. Chris is a friendly and responsive host!

Chris’s place was almost exactly what we expected. Great views, and felt really private even though it’s a shared building with other units. Only downside was that we booked it because the listing stated there was a king size bed, but when we arrived there was a queen bed in each room. Otherwise a wonderful stay, Chris was very responsive when we reached out to him. There was a small amount of pet hair still in the unit from previous guests, but we’re pet people and brought our dog so it didn’t bother us. The attached fenced in area was a huge bonus!

The property was as expected. The fact that we could bring our dog was why we chose this property. The enclosed yard was small but perfect for what we needed. I would suggest some sort of railing at the front because there is quite a drop off in the landscape. The views of the mountains was beautiful.

Was hard to find the back parking area using Google Maps but the space was easily one of the best I’ve stayed at in Leadville. Would 100% recommend to anyone coming up to visit!

A few things worth knowing upfront:
- No A/C. Leadville rarely needs it — open windows do the work even in July.
- Altitude is real. Leadville is 10,152 ft. Hydrate, take it easy day one, and consider travel insurance if you're prone to altitude sickness — we can't refund altitude-related early checkouts.
- Quiet hours 10 PM–8 AM. There are neighbors above; please be considerate.
- Pets: $60 pet fee, 2 pets max. Pets cannot be left unattended at the property — there are local doggy daycare options if you need them.
- Mountain wildlife: occasional small critters and insects come with the territory. Keep doors closed and you won't notice them.
- Wide steps down to the unit. Manageable for most guests but not step-free.
