Easy check in process and wonderful location. It was great to be able to take our dog and many others also had dogs which made it a fun community. Loved getting coffee each morning outside and around the corner. Once we opened the windows at night and ran the ceiling fan it was nice and cool.

Great stay and accessible host. Room was clean and convenient to get shuttle next door to town. Also easily bikable to town on bike path if you don’t mind hills. Note no ac in the room.

The Grand Lodge sits at the base of Crested Butte Mountain Resort in Mt. Crested Butte, a 3-minute walk from the lifts, with the free town shuttle stopping next door. Historic downtown Crested Butte and Elk Avenue — known for art galleries, breweries, and dining — are 6 minutes away by car or shuttle, and bikeable on the path. The area is a four-season destination: skiing and snowboarding in winter, and hiking, mountain biking, and rafting in summer, with major trailheads 5–25 minutes from the door. Gunnison–Crested Butte Regional Airport (GUC) is about a 40-minute drive.
