Ruby Lane House is a 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom single-level home on Ruby Lane — a quiet, tree-lined neighborhood a few minutes' drive from downtown Leadville, Colorado. The home holds two queen bedrooms and a third bedroom with a bunk bed for 6 sleepers total, plus a large open-concept living and dining area that opens onto a covered deck with Adirondack chairs, a hanging egg chair, a patio table, and a propane grill. The fully equipped kitchen features a large island that seats several guests and opens to the living area. Large windows throughout the main living area frame the surrounding trees and let in natural light. The primary bathroom has double vanity sinks; the second full bathroom serves the other bedrooms. A washer/dryer, dishwasher, smart TV, and WiFi are all included. Downtown Leadville (Harrison Avenue restaurants, shops, and mining-history museums) is a short drive. Ski Cooper is 25 minutes north. Copper Mountain is ~35–40 minutes east. Turquoise Lake is about 15 minutes north. Mt. Elbert and Mt. Massive trailheads are ~25 minutes south. This home has no air conditioning — not needed at 10,152 ft. Pet-free home. Parking for 2–3 vehicles in the driveway. 4WD or AWD vehicles handle the neighborhood roads more easily in winter; the roads are maintained but snow is part of the environment. Managed by Traverse Hospitality. License #2026-096.

We loved our stay at this home. It was beautifully decorated and super comfortable, with everything we needed. Would definitely recommend!

This is our 6th air bnb in Leadville. Chris was very easy to communicate with and check in was a breeze. House was very spacious and well equipped. One of the nicest we’ve stayed in. Will definitely look to stay here again!

We had a fantastic stay! The house is very beautiful, clean and comfortable, and it was in the perfect location for our family of 5 (which includes 3 teenaged boys). We were about 5 minutes from downtown Leadville (which is convenient to the grocery store and restaurants/shops) and about 15 minutes from Ski Cooper. The sleeping arrangements were perfect, as were the bathrooms. The kitchen, eating area and living room are incredibly spacious. The hanging chairs on the porch were so nice to relax in after a day of skiing (especially with the crazy warm weather Leadville had last week). The washer/dryer was a huge bonus. Check in was a breeze and Chris was very communicative. There is literally nothing we would have changed. My family hopes to stay here again on our next trip to Leadville!

Leadville, Colorado, United States
Ruby Lane is a quiet, wooded residential neighborhood in Leadville, Colorado — a few minutes' drive from downtown Harrison Avenue. Lots are spaced out, trees are abundant, and mountain views are visible from the deck. This is the mountain-retreat alternative to an in-town Victorian rental. Walkable / short-drive downtown Leadville amenities (about 5 minutes by car): Periodic Brewing, High Mountain Pies, Treeline Kitchen, Silver Dollar Saloon (opened 1883), Melanzana (made-in-Leadville fleece), Delaware Hotel (1886), Tabor Opera House (1879), Leadville Colorado & Southern Railroad depot, the National Mining Hall of Fame and Museum, and dozens of galleries, coffee shops, and mining-history attractions. Year-round outdoor access: Turquoise Lake (15 min north — fishing, kayaking, Nordic skiing), Mt. Elbert (14,440 ft) and Mt. Massive (14,428 ft) trailheads (25 min south), Twin Lakes recreation area (25 min south), the Mineral Belt Trail paved loop (short drive), Ski Cooper (25 min north on US-24), Copper Mountain (~35–40 min east), Vail / Beaver Creek (~45–55 min via I-70), and Independence Pass to Aspen (1.5–2 hr in summer only; pass closed November–May). The Leadville Trail 100 Run and Leadville 100 MTB race routes are accessible from nearby roads.

Plan your first 24 hours easy: drink double your usual water, ease up on alcohol, and avoid heavy exertion the day you arrive. Symptoms of altitude sickness include headache, nausea, and shortness of breath. We cannot offer refunds for altitude sickness — if you're prone, consider travel insurance.
NO A/C: Nights in Leadville run 40s–50s even in July. Windows and cross-breezes handle daytime warmth. A/C is not installed and is not needed at this elevation.
NO PETS: Ruby Lane House is a pet-free home.
WINTER DRIVING: Neighborhood roads are maintained, but 4WD or AWD makes winter access easier. Budget extra drive time during and after storms. Chains may be required on some Colorado roads during winter — check COTrip.org before long drives.

NO FIREPLACE: This home does not have a fireplace.
OUTDOOR GEAR: Covered deck with Adirondack chairs, hanging egg chair, metal patio set, and propane grill.
