Great location for playing on the trails and on the peaks, while still having quick access to town. The space is great for a few couples to spend the weekend together.

We were very pleasantly surprised to find this Airbnb in Leadville. After staying in many hotel type places not appealing to us, this was a really great option. This residence is very comfortable, clean, and well maintained as seen in the photos. We will hopefully be able to stay at this residence again while visiting our daughter in Leadville.

Leadville, Colorado, United States
The home sits on Westwoods Drive in Leadville North, a quiet residential street about one mile from Main Street Leadville. Tree cover, low traffic, and a neighborhood trail and playground within walking distance make it a practical base for families with kids and dogs. Leadville, Colorado is the highest incorporated city in the United States at 10,152 feet, with a preserved Victorian-era downtown, a National Mining Hall of Fame, the historic Tabor Opera House, several breweries and restaurants, and the 11.6-mile paved Mineral Belt Trail that loops the city for walking and biking. The Leadville Race Series brings ultra-runners and mountain bikers to town every summer. Within roughly 25 minutes' drive: Mt. Elbert (14,440 ft, the highest peak in Colorado) North trailhead off Halfmoon Creek Road; Mt. Massive trailhead; Twin Lakes town and shoreline on US-24/CO-82; and Ski Cooper, Lake County's family-friendly ski hill north on US-24. Turquoise Lake — a high-altitude reservoir popular for stand-up paddleboarding, summer swimming, and shoreline campgrounds — is a short drive west of Leadville. Copper Mountain ski resort is roughly 35–40 minutes east on US-24/I-70, and Vail/Beaver Creek roughly 50 minutes east via I-70. Aspen via Independence Pass is 1.5–2 hours in summer (May–October only). Denver International Airport is approximately 2 hours 15 minutes away; Eagle/Vail Regional is approximately 1 hour 15 minutes.
Free cancellation up to 14 days before check-in. Within 14 days, the reservation is non-refundable.

▵ No A/C — Leadville stays cool at 10,152 ft. Bring a fan if you sleep hot. ▵ Pet-friendly: $85 + tax for one dog, $170 + tax for two. Add via the digital guidebook before arrival. ▵ Altitude is real at 10,000+ ft — hydrate aggressively on Day 1, take it easy, and travel insurance is a good idea if anyone is altitude-sensitive. We cannot refund stays interrupted by altitude sickness. ▵ Mountain wildlife and bugs are part of the setting. Doors closed = no surprises. ▵ A separate ADU at the back of the property houses a long-term tenant; it has its own entrance and quiet hours apply.
