The Rosemont is a historic 4-bedroom, 2-bathroom Victorian home on West 9th Street in downtown Leadville, Colorado — two blocks west of Harrison Avenue, the town's main commercial corridor. The home combines original Victorian details (spiral staircase to the loft, tin-ceiling dining room, claw-foot tub, original wood flooring) with updated systems (gas fireplace, WiFi, cable + Smart TV, dishwasher, washer/dryer). The home sleeps up to 7 across four bedrooms: a loft bedroom with a Queen bed, a Queen bedroom with an additional twin bed, a Queen bedroom, and a bunk bedroom with two twin beds. Two full bathrooms — one featuring an original Victorian claw-foot tub — serve the home. The main level features a formal sitting room, a tin-ceiling formal dining room, a fully equipped kitchen, and a back deck with mountain views plus sight lines onto the neighboring park and library. A natural gas fireplace anchors the main living space for winter evenings; tall Victorian windows bring in the summer light. Downtown Leadville is a 2-block walk east — Harrison Avenue restaurants, bars, and shops are all within 5 minutes on foot. Ski Cooper is 25 minutes north. Copper Mountain is ~35–40 minutes east. Mt. Elbert and Mt. Massive trailheads are ~25 minutes south. No air conditioning — not needed at this elevation. Pet-free home. Parking for approximately 2 vehicles in front of the home, not guaranteed (Victorian-era street grid). Crib and baby gate available. Managed by Traverse Hospitality.

Your futon was broken before we got there, it was noticeably bent. The half wall up the windy stairs is unstable. The bed post is loose. The sheets and comforters need washed. Pillows need replaced. Overall, the property was old and unkept.

We stayed at this wonderful spot and just loved it. Super close to all the good restaurants and shops, and the house could not have been cuter or more inviting. Its a real gem. Will definitely book it again in the future.

Great home and great host.

Loved staying in this 1888 gem. We have always admired the beautiful Victorian homes in Leadville. “Rosemont” is charming. It was so interesting to relax in the parlor and consider all the people who have come and gone through its door.

Natasha was easy to get ahold of and had a good response time. Would recommend this house to a larger group.

. ALTITUDE: Downtown Leadville sits at 10,152 feet. Plan your first 24 hours easy: drink double your usual water, ease up on alcohol, and avoid heavy exertion the day you arrive. Symptoms of altitude sickness include headache, nausea, and shortness of breath. We cannot offer refunds for altitude sickness — if you're prone, consider travel insurance. NO A/C: Nights in Leadville run 40s–50s even in July. Windows and cross-breezes handle daytime warmth. A/C is not installed and is not needed at this elevation. NO PETS: The Rosemont is a pet-free home. FIREPLACE: Natural gas fireplace in the main living room. Operating instructions arrive with your check-in email. Please do not burn wood or paper in the fireplace. SPIRAL STAIRCASE: Access to the loft bedroom is via a spiral staircase. Guests with mobility issues should plan accordingly; the other three bedrooms are on the main level. KIDS: Crib and baby gate available on request. Please request in advance so we can have them set up before your arrival. PARKING: Approximately 2 vehicle spaces in front of the home, not guaranteed. Leadville's Victorian streets were built before cars. If your group has 3+ vehicles, plan to disperse some to nearby blocks. Please park directly in front of the rental. CHECKOUT TIME: Checkout is 10:00 AM. This is earlier than some rentals — please plan departure accordingly. QUIET HOURS: Leadville observes Quiet Hours from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Turning off exterior lights during those hours helps the neighborhood enjoy dark skies. WILDLIFE: You're at elevation in the Rockies. Expect the occasional insect or small critter. We pest-treat regularly and ask that you keep doors closed. ARRIVAL EMAIL: Look for our arrival email with a link to the digital guidebook — check your spam folder.
