Great location 5 minute walk to base. Place is dated but clean and comfortable. Not very quiet as near elevator and ice machine. Easy to check-in. Wifi not consistent. Decent place overall.

We stayed for three night while skiing at Crested Butte. The room is more-or-less like that of a medium-grade hotel. The location is excellent for skiing, being just an elevator ride and a few-minute walk from the nearest lifts. Complimentary ski storage just off the slopes is extremely convenient, and the free local bus is extremely convenient for going into town. When booking, we did not notice that the room is located just across from the elevator bay as well as the laundry room and the ice machine; the room door does little to block sound associated with these nearby features. The only other downside was the faint odor of industrial cleaning fluid in the Lodge’s hallways.

We are a short distance from the town of Crested Butte where Elk Avenue provides a great place to shop, dine, visit historic buildings and art galleries. The area offers outdoor activities in all seasons! It is a great place to enjoy hiking, biking, rafting, skiing, and snowshoeing. The Gunnison-Crested Butte Regional Airport is a 45-minute drive from the Grand Lodge. Landmarks and attractions are easily accessible and the resort is just a 5 min walk away!
