Josephine is a restored four-bedroom Victorian a block off Harrison Avenue in downtown Leadville, built for a family or two families traveling together. It sleeps eight across four queen bedrooms and two bathrooms, with an updated eat-in kitchen, a formal dining room, a living room, a TV den, an upstairs living room, and a wood-paneled library to spread out in — plus an outdoor hot tub. Restaurants, shops, and the Mineral Belt trailheads are a short walk; Ski Cooper and Copper Mountain are about 25 minutes. Listed with @BookTraverse.

Our family stayed at Natasha’s place for Thanksgiving: 5 with food for days. Such a great kitchen and so well appointed. It was my favorite room there. Loved the old house layout, light fixtures and creaky charm. The TV was a bit challenging but we found a dvd that suited us well. Great location close to downtown. Marvelous hot tub.

Our stay was great. Love the house. We didn't use the hot tub. Several red ant mounds in the back yard. Broken chair and the table in the back yard was dirty. Cigarette butts on the ground.

Leadville, Colorado, United States
Josephine sits a block off Harrison Avenue in Leadville's National Historic Landmark District — restaurants, coffee, museums, galleries, and shops are a short walk, and so are the Mineral Belt Trail access points. From the door: - Ski Cooper (15 min) and Copper Mountain (25 min) for lift days; Vail, Breckenridge, Keystone, and Beaver Creek are 30–50 min - Turquoise Lake (12 min) for paddling, fishing, and shoreline sunsets - Mt. Elbert and Mt. Massive trailheads (about 26 min) — Colorado's two highest peaks - Fall-color bike rides, fly fishing, snowshoeing, and the Leadville train — something every season

Not pet friendly.
No A/C. Elevation is 10,152 ft — hydrate on day one; altitude sickness is real and not refundable.
The fireplace shown in photos adds character but is no longer operable and cannot be used.
This is a restored Victorian — it creaks, floors aren't perfectly level, and that's part of a 19th-century home.
Parking is free but on-street and can be tight; in winter, keeping a space clear can take some shoveling. Plan accordingly.
A required mid-stay cleaning applies on stays longer than 15 days (details in the guidebook).
