Stay in the main unit of the 1893 mansion built by Colorado Governor Jesse McDonald, half a block from Main Street in downtown Leadville. Four bedrooms sleep eight across a king suite with jetted tub, two queen rooms, and a bunk room — with a billiard room, infrared sauna, two full kitchens, two living rooms, and a private office to spread out in. Pet friendly and walkable to restaurants, shops, and museums, it's a group base for Ski Cooper, Copper Mountain, and Turquoise Lake. Listed with @BookTraverse.

Small hiccup upon checkin which was 100% my fault, Chris was super responsive and was able to guide us through the process.

Chris’s house was the perfect spot for our holiday vacation! Convenient location and a great space to relax in after our daytime adventures.

We loved our stay at the Governor’s Mansion Guest Suites. The house is huge, full of charm, and had everything we needed for a comfortable trip. The pool table was so much fun, the sauna felt amazing after a long day outside, and the electric fireplaces made it super cozy at night. The kitchens were well stocked, the beds were comfy, and the whole place was very clean. It’s also in such a great spot, just a short walk to Main Street and close to Turquoise Lake and Copper Mountain. We really liked having space to spread out, and the little touches like board games and the private office made it feel like home. Chris and the Traverse team were quick to reply and really helpful with any questions. I would definitely stay here again next time I’m in Leadville.

A very spacious and comfortable house, less than a block off the main downtown strip (Eighth Street). Having a nice pool table was an added bonus for my son and I. Chris was very responsive to a few questions we had -responding with minutes. An all around great stay for us.
